About Us
New Joy Church began with a group of people hungry to see God do a new thing in central Fresno. David and Michelle Manjarrez are leading New Joy with a deep desire to see people come into a significant relationship with God.
We had our first service October 19, 2014. Many members of New Joy Church were also members of Family Joy Community Church, where David Manjarrez was pastor from 1992-2011. New Joy is a church with a mission and a strategy to bring people into the presence of God and the power of His glory.
God opened the door to an amazing blessing by relocating our church to a wonderful facility in Clovis. It is our privilege to minister to Fresno and Clovis with the Word of God.
New Joy Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God.
OUR LEADERSHIP
David & Michelle Manjarrez
Lead Pastors
Worship Leader
David and Michelle Manjarrez have been ministering in the Fresno/Clovis area for many years. He taught instrumental music for over 30 years in Fresno and Tulare counties.
David began his ministry as a worship leader and eventually expanded to teaching, preaching and counseling. With his wife, Michelle, they have been very successful in family and personal counseling. Michelle has a heart for children and God has used her in youth ministry and has ministered to many women with love and effectiveness.
David and Michelle have been married for almost 47 years. They have 2 married daughters and 5 awesome grandchildren.
God has broken the hearts of Steve & Jennifer for the youth and women of New Joy Church. One night God woke up Steve at 3AM and lead him to Luke 15:1-7. From that day Steve knew that God had called him to reach out and lead them to a higher relationship with God.
Jennifer has been serving Lord for over 15 years. While praying Jennifer asked God to guide her and shortly after she was led to the women's ministry. The Lord broke her heart for the women of New Joy and gave her a strong desire to lead them into a deeper relationship with the Lord.
